Event: Webinar on “IPR with a focus on patenting in India” was organized by Institution Innovation Council, Nitte (DU).
Dr Karunasagar, enlightened the audience on all types of Intellectual Property Rights with a focus on patenting in India with appropriate examples. He explained about copyrights, trademark, designs, geographical indication, TRIPS and territorial jurisdiction. Information on legislative framework for IPR in India and salient features of patent law was presented. He also summarized pathways of getting International patents through Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
