Father Muller Charitable Institutions are renowned healthcare and educational organizations dedicated to serving the community with compassion and excellence. Nitte DU and Father Muller Research Centre, Father Muller Charitable Institution, signed an MoU on 14th March 2025 to enhance collaboration and cooperation towards knowledge enhancement. DST TEC enabled this collaboration, which would pave the way for the development of the scientific relationship between Nitte DU and Father Muller Charitable Institution by fostering translational research and communication for advances in multidisciplinary fields. This collaboration seeks to provide a conducive environment for researchers, practitioners and industrialists to develop networking and seek solutions on a real-time basis. Also, this facilitates use of complementary expertise available in two institutions and move from conceptualization down to commercialization by networking with industry.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar Nitte DU, and Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, and the exchange took place on March 14, 2025 between Dr. M S Moodithaya, The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Nitte DU and Dr. Ramesh Bhat, Head of Father Muller Research Center. Dr. Iddya Karunasagar, Advisor, Research and Patent; Dr. Indrani Karunasagar, Director Projects, and DST TEC; Mr Chethan Chakrabarty, Legal Officer, Nitte DU and DST TEC staff were present on occasion.
