St Aloysius Deemed to be University belongs to a network of educational institutions administered by the members of the Society of Jesus. It is a premier university offering innovative education and cutting-edge research for global leaders. An MoU was signed between Nitte DU and St Aloysius Deemed to be University with the objective to foster collaboration in areas with complementary expertise for translational research and technology development in multidisciplinary fields, to provide a conducive environment for researchers, entrepreneurs, and startups to develop networking and seek solutions on a real-time basis. This MOU facilitates the emergence of a diverse research culture and reduces redundancy in research. Through the MoU, both universities shall be involved in activities like manpower training, student exchange programs, faculty exchange, collaborative research, collaborative organization of webinars, joint conferences, and symposia.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar Nitte DU, and Rev Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Vice Chancellor, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), and exchanged between Dr. M S Moodithaya, The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Nitte DU and Dr. Roshan FrederickDSouza, Chair, International and domestic Relations, St Aloysius University in the presence of Dr. Iddya Karunasagar, Advisor, Research and Patent; Dr. Indrani Karunasagar, Director Projects, and DST TEC; Dr Daniella Anne Chyne, Assistant Professor, St Aloysius DU, Mr. Chethan Chakrabarthy, Legal officer, Nitte DU. DST TEC staff facilitated the MOU exchange.
