Nitte (Deemed to be University) (NitteDU) and the ICAR–National Meat Research Institute (ICAR-NMRI), Hyderabad, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 24/11/2025 to foster academic, research and institutional collaboration between the two organisations.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar, NitteDU, and Dr. S. B. Barbuddhe, Director, ICAR–National Meat Research Institute. The MoU was exchanged in the august presence of Prof. M. S. Moodithaya, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of NitteDU. Prof. Iddya Karunasagar, Advisor - Research and Patents, NitteDU, Mr. Nithya Chethan, Legal Officer, NitteDU and staff of Nitte DST TEC were also present on the occasion.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Board Room of Nitte University, marking an important step towards strengthening cooperation and creating opportunities for collaborative initiatives between NitteDU and ICAR-NMRI. The partnership is expected to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise and promote joint activities in areas of mutual interest.
The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both institutions towards strengthening research linkages and advancing scientific excellence through institutional partnerships.
