The 7th meeting of the Program Advisory Group (PAG) of DST TEC, Nitte DU, was held on May 11, 2026, in the Board Room of Nitte (Deemed to be University), chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr. MS Moodithaya, with 14 members being present including representatives from partner institutions, partners, industries, and Nitte university faculty. Dr. Indrani Karunasagar, co-ordinator and Director (Projects & DST TEC), Nitte DU presented the TEC's achievements for April 2025 to April 2026, highlighting interactions with institutions and industries, collaborative project development, patents applied and granted, startup support for clinical validation, training programs, and white papers generated, with special emphasis on a successfully commercialized product. Representatives from partner Institutes, Dr Rio DSouza, Principal, St Joseph Engineering College, Dr Uday Kumar K Shenoy, Canara Engineering College, Dr Shridhar, Mangalore University, Dr Roshan Fredrick Dsouza and Dr Daniella Anne Laitiam Chyne, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) appreciated DST NUTEC's support in patent filings, translating research into technologies, establishing incubators, and developing translational project proposals, while industry representatives Dr Ashwin Rai, Aquatic Biosystems and Dr Giridhar Prabhu, Achal Cashew Industries suggested sustainability models for the forthcoming activities of the centre. Key outcomes included the success story of commercialization of GouBio (an organic agricultural liquid fertilizer developed through collaboration between Kuvempu University, KVK Shivamogga, NMIT, DST NUTEC, and AIC Nitte). The university faculties Dr Iddya Karunasagar, Advisor Research & Patents, Mr Puneeth Rai, CEO, AIC Nitte, Dr Shashank Shetty, Head, NMAMIT, Incubator and Dr Krishna Kumar B, Associate Professor, NUCSER were also present.
